Can you replace any bulb with an LED Track Lights?
Replacing a regular bulb with LED track lights requires some additional work. Track lighting is powered by any of these two methods i.e. by plugging the track into a nearby power outlet or directly hardwiring it. A plug-in track light requires no electrical wiring but must be located near an outlet. Hardwired track lights require electrical connections be made at an electrical junction box during installation. For connecting it to a junction box you may require a qualified electrician. Further installation instructions should be available on the track light package.

Several factors need to be considered when choosing LED Track lights:
1. Output Wattage: Output wattage determines the amount of light from a fixture. Choose wattage depending on the place it is to be used.
2. Colour Temperature: In cooler environments, use cooler lights i.e. cool white light. In warmer areas, use brighter lights-yellow tones.
3. Colour Rendering Index (CRI): The CRI tells us about the quality of light, higher CRI, would mean better light.
4. Lifespan: The lifespan of the product is mentioned on the packaging.
5. Energy Efficiency: Check for ENERGY STAR rating to assess the energy it will save in the long run.

LED track lights may cost you a little more than halogen track lights but there are a variety of LED track lights that are available making it easier for you to go for a budget friendly track lighting system.
